Shannah Official Bio

Shannah Game is a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), Certified Trauma of Money Specialist, and the leading Perimenopause & Menopause Money Expert, helping women understand the profound connection between hormones, emotions, identity, and their financial lives. She is the author of Unraveling Your Relationship with Money, a groundbreaking book that explores how shame, fear, past trauma, and midlife transitions shape financial behavior.

With over 20 years of experience in behavioral finance, Shannah blends financial strategy, emotional well-being, and trauma-informed tools into a deeply human, accessible approach. She is one of the few financial experts formally trained in trauma-informed money work, and her modern framework—The Emotional Economy™—explains how hormonal shifts in perimenopause and menopause influence spending, decision-making, boundaries, and self-worth.

Shannah is also the creator and former 10-year host of the award-winning Everyone’s Talkin’ Money podcast, which earned 28 million downloads and was named one of the New York Times’ top 4 money podcasts. Her relatable, emotionally honest voice drew listeners from around the globe seeking a shame-free, deeply human way to talk about money.

A respected media contributor, Shannah has appeared on ABC World News, NBC, Fox 5 DC, CNN, Real Simple, GOOP, Inc. Magazine, and dozens of top podcasts, offering insight into emotional spending, money trauma, midlife transitions, and the financial realities women face but rarely discuss.

Her work now extends into digital and video storytelling, using street interviews, narrative formats, and creative baking projects to help women explore money, identity, and reinvention with humor and honesty.

Based in Asheville, North Carolina, Shannah is known for breaking down complex topics with warmth, wit, and radical clarity—giving women the validation, tools, and language they need to rewrite their money stories and rebuild financial confidence during the most transformative chapter of their lives.
