Your Money
Story.

Your money story is the meaning you've learned to attach to money: what having it says about you, what spending it says about you, what you think you deserve, and what you believe you have to do to feel safe.

You can know all the money rules and still be living inside an old story. This short audio helps you hear it more clearly.

No spreadsheet required.
Then grab a piece of paper

Don't make this homework.

The point isn't to come up with the perfect answer. It's to catch the language, rules, and assumptions that have been quietly operating in the background.

01

What did money mean in your house?

Finish the sentence a few different ways: “Money was…” Scarce? Private? Stressful? Powerful? Something adults fought about? Something good people weren't supposed to care too much about?

02

What does money seem to prove now?

Notice where money has become evidence. That you're successful. Responsible. Safe. Behind. Too much. Not enough. Good at life. Bad at life. Write down whatever actually shows up.

03

Which part of the story is still yours?

Circle what still feels true. Cross out what feels inherited, outdated, or like a rule you've been obeying without ever choosing it. Then write one sentence you want to practice instead.

One important thing

Noticing the pattern is the beginning.

You don't have to turn this into a dramatic before-and-after story by tomorrow.

A money story gets reinforced over years through family, work, relationships, culture, success, fear, and experience. The useful question isn't “How do I get rid of this?”

It's “Is this story helping me make the life and money decisions I want to make now?”
